Courtney Fraser Psychotherapy
Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of therapy do you offer?
I offer individual and relationship therapy for adult clients. I utilize a range of modalities and approaches uniquely tailored to meet the needs of every client, including individual and couples sex therapy. You can find out more here.

What can I expect from therapy?
The first few sessions are part of an assessment process to gain an understanding of current concerns and past history, as well an opportunity to evaluate for fit. Progress depends on a client's concerns and ability to attend sessions. I check in with clients regularly to discuss progress and expectations, and welcome feedback throughout the therapeutic process.

Do you offer virtual or in-person therapy?
Both! I offer in-person therapy at my Dupont Circle office. I also offer virtual sessions for clients located in DC, Maryland, and Virginia (as these are the areas I'm licensed).

How much do sessions cost and do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider which means I do not accept insurance. I will walk clients through how to get reimbursed from their insurance company if they have out-of-network benefits. Contact me to discuss the services you are looking for and the associated fees.

Do you offer a sliding scale or low-fee services?
Yes. I have a limited number of sliding or low-fee slots available at any given time. I use an equitable pricing framework for folx who cannot afford my standard fees. Please reach out to discuss options if you think you may need a sliding rate.

Do you offer a free consultation to see if we are good fit?
Absolutely, and in fact I recommend it. Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and financial resources. It's important for you to feel comfortable and that we all feel it's a good fit.
